Terms, conditions & shipment information.

Once you have discussed your requirements with Lisa, please ensure that you print this page and include it with your shipment & deposit.

Failure to do so will mean that your restoration may be delayed.

This information is a guideline for customers for shipping and liability whilst your object is in the care of The Antiques Boutique.

Your signature is a requirement.

  1. Please enclose details of your name, address, phone number, and email, as well as a list of the item(s) and a description of damage.

  2. Broken pieces need to be wrapped separately, bagged, and packed with the object. This prevents loose pieces from getting more damaged or lost during unwrapping and cataloging. Please package according to postal/shipper recommendations using a strong double box & double bubble wrap, with a minimum of a 2-inch buffer between object and box.

  3. Shipping, handling charges & any taxes/duty are the responsibility of the owner. On occasion badly broken, previously glued or painted-over surfaces necessitate an additional expense. You will be advised if this is the case before any work is done.

  4. The Antiques Boutique is not liable for theft or damage. Please check with your insurance company, as many homeowners and business policies may cover your items during restoration.  Postage services do not normally cover antiques or objects of art, you may want to enquire about any restrictions when you select shipping insurance.

Precautions and great care to prevent further damage during restoration are standard practice with The Antiques Boutique, but it is possible that an unseen circumstance may lead to further breakage. The Antiques Boutique will not be liable in the event of fire or natural disaster. Again, you should check with your insurance for coverage of your item during restoration.

Your signature reflects understanding of the above disclaimer and will be kept on file at The Antiques Boutique.
